Brainstorming Discussion

In the discussion phase, we will use a variety of group discussion and brainstorming techniques to list ideas that could be a project risk.

These methods can involve:

Sticky notes & Mind-maps
Round-robin brainstorming: An iterative process building off consecutive contributions by each participant.
Step-ladder technique: Encourages all members to contribute on an individual level before being influenced by anyone else.

Note:

At this point, we are not looking to solve any problems - the goal is to identify as many possible scenarios that could negatively impact the project.

We will also review the risk registers from past projects with similar size, scope, and location. The result will be a list of risks that will be transferred to step 2 - Evaluation - below.
